White Echoes

A Sculpture Inspired by Music

When I listened to the piece “Materialization of Sound,” spontaneous thoughts began to emerge. The music felt like a cohesive whole, where each part fits together to create a unique soundscape. It didn’t follow a set pattern, which made it stand apart from the music we usually hear. That freedom inspired me to break away from conventional rules.

As I listened, I imagined a creature from outer space. The sound had something otherworldly about it—something vast, like the universe itself. It felt as if a mysterious being existed somewhere deep in the cosmos.

The colors that came to mind were gray and white, reflecting the neutrality and abstraction of the sound. There’s something enigmatic about it—neither dark nor bright, but full of presence and possibility.

This sculpture is a physical interpretation of that musical experience. A form born from sound, embodying the unfamiliar, the free, and the unknown.

Crafted from wire, cardboard, masking tape, papier-mâché, and painted in shades of white and gray, the piece embraces the raw and experimental nature of its inspiration.
